We currently have shares available in a number of horses. Most of our horse racing syndicates (Racing Partnerships to give them their official name) consist of eight equal shares. When you join one of our horse racing syndicates you pay an initial amount to cover the purchase of a 12.5% share. This means that you actually own part of the horse (unlike a lot of syndicates) and your interest in him/her will be registered with Weatherbys who are the administrators of racing. At the end of each season you will be given the opportunity to either sell your share and leave the Partnership or continue for another year.
In addition to buying your share, you will make a fixed monthly contribution of £195 per 12.5% share towards the training fees and racing expenses of the horse as well as the administration costs of the Partnership. You will, of course, receive your share of any prize money won by the horse together with any other income earned such as appearance money and sponsorship fees.
The aim is to help you get the maximum fun and enjoyment out of the ownership experience through our horse racing syndicates. You will receive the full benefits of racehorse ownership including: -
• Opportunity to join the Trainer and jockey in the parade ring and winners' enclosure.
• Owner's badges.
• Regular visits to Oaklea Racing Stables to see your horse.
You will be the only owner of the horse. As such, any costs and profits will be yours alone. You will also have a close involvement with any of the decisions made regarding your horse. You will also be able to choose the name of your horse if it is not already named and you’re racing colours.
Paul Green may already have for sale just the horse you’re looking for. Alternatively we would be happy to buy you a horse to meet your requirements at one of the many Bloodstock Sales which take place throughout the year at Tattersalls (Newmarket) and Doncaster in this country and at Fairyhouse (Tattersalls Ireland) and Kill (Goffs) in Ireland. Whatever the sort of horse you are looking for - a precocious 2 year-old, a classic-bred 3 year-old, a stayer, something to campaign in Europe, or simply a tough fun horse, we can help you find the horse that suits your needs. (Please contact us for details)
Equally, if you already have a horse in training and think that it might just benefit from change of scenery here in this quiet corner of rural Merseyside then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
All the thrills of sole ownership but with a chance to share all the costs and expenses. This involves the participation of more than one owner in a horse. It is effectively any type of racehorse ownership other than sole ownership. There are various types of co-ownership.
Joint Ownership: This consists of between 2 and 12 people. The horse can run in either a joint ownership name or the name of one of the joint owners. Everyone involved is a registered owner with Weatherbys who are the administrators of racing.
Company Ownership: This is becoming increasingly more popular. The horse is owned by the company's shareholders who must appoint a Registered Agent to act on its behalf. We can help you ensure that you get the maximum benefit for your business from your investment.
